To whom it may concern;
On behalf of Beth Brawn, who will be continuing to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Western New York, I am
asking for your help. On November 12, 2004, this local artist unveiled “Making A Wish”, the first in a series
of prints to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Western New York. This was a wonderful event and will help to grant the
wish of Selena, a local girl whose wish for a trip to Disney World will happen in 2005. I am just thrilled that Beth is already
planning her next event for April 2005. She has been remarkable in involving the community in sharing the power of a wish®!
We hope you will join us in supporting Beth’s next event.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human
experience with hope, strength, and joy. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience
has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities. The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded
in 1980 after a little boy named Chris Greicius realized his heartfelt wish to become a police officer. Since its humble beginnings,
the organization has blossomed into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching more than 110,000 children worldwide. The Western New
York chapter, which serves the 17 western counties of New York State, was founded in 1992 and has since granted over 1,000
wishes! We have just completed a record breaking year granting 157 wishes - an increase of 22% from the previous year. We
would never be able to do this with out the help of our community.
Thanks in advance for the consideration to Beth’s request. Should you have any questions or concerns please do not
hesitate to contact me. I am available by phone 716-810-9474 x12 or email A_Smith@westny.wish.org.
